Jaclyn J. Reed is a published writer and crafter of worlds from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She received her BA in English (Writing and English Literature) from the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown in April 2017. Upon graduation, she entered into the Carlow University Master of Fine Arts program, which partners with Trinity College in Dublin, to study fiction under internationally renowned authors. Her short stories, essays, and poetry have appeared or are forthcoming in The Write Launch, Mind Murals, Open Minds Quarterly, and Rune, among others. She received the Colleen M. Brown Memorial Award from the Academy of American Poets (2014) for her poem “Death,” the Claire Garber Writing Award (2016), and was the Pitt-Johnstown Humanities Division Fiction Nominee for both the 2016 and 2017 AWP Intro. to Journals Project. In addition to her creative writing, Jaclyn’s technical writing has appeared on various blogs, social media platforms, and websites, covering mental and physical health, innovation, manufacturing, automotives, law and government, the energy industry, and more. Jaclyn J. Reed lives in Hershey, PA with her husband and menagerie of pets.
